What is United Women in Faith?
United Women in Faith is a supportive, inclusive Christian membership organization where women grow spiritually, develop as leaders, and serve in ways that transform communities. Formerly known as United Methodist Women, the organization is the women's ministry of The United Methodist Church, equipping women to put faith into action through fellowship, leadership development, and mission that advances the well-being of women, children, and youth.
United Women in Faith centers its ministry around three purposes:
Spiritual Growth
Know God and experience wholeness through Jesus Christ.
Fellowship & Community
Develop creative, supportive relationships where women encourage and nurture one another.
Mission & Service
Expand God's mission through participation in ministries that serve communities locally and worldwide.
Our Mission in Action
Spiritual Formation
Growing deeper in faith through prayer, study, worship, and reflection.
Leadership Development
Equipping women to lead with courage, compassion, and purpose.
Creative Fellowship
Building relationships that strengthen and encourage one another.
Education & Advocacy
Learning about critical issues and working together for justice and transformation.
Through these ministries, members inspire, influence, and impact communities by addressing issues such as poverty, climate justice, and racial justice.
