Peace with Justice
Advocating, agitating, and motivating for a world of peace, freedom, dignity, and flourishing for all.
“He has told you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God.” - Micah 6:8
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” - Luke 4:18-19
Who We Are
The Peace with Justice Team of the Susquehanna Conference seeks to live out the Gospel by addressing the systems and structures that perpetuate violence, oppression, and inequality. Rooted in Scripture and guided by prayer, we equip congregations to become agents of reconciliation, justice, and hope in their communities.
Our Focus
Peacebuilding
Foster reconciliation, healing, and communities where all people can flourish.
Justice & Advocacy
Challenge systems of injustice and advocate for dignity, equity, and human rights.
Education & Resources
Equip congregations with tools, learning opportunities, and resources for faithful engagement.
Partnerships
Collaborate with churches, community organizations, and ecumenical partners to create lasting change.
Why It Matters
Peace with Justice is more than the absence of conflict. It is the presence of justice, compassion, and right relationships.
As followers of Christ, we are called to confront the realities that erode peace - including racism, poverty, violence, environmental injustice, and discrimination - and to participate in God's work of healing and restoration.
