Disaster Response Ministry
Providing hope and help in times of disaster through caring Christian Presence.
Who We Are
When disaster strikes, the Susquehanna Conference Disaster Response Ministry stands ready to bring hope, healing, and practical support to individuals, families, and communities.
In partnership with United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and other ministry partners, we respond by addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs through compassionate presence and faithful service.
Our mission is to bring RELIEF to communities in crisis:
R - Revealing God's protection
Offering hope and reassurance through God's presence in times of uncertainty (Psalm 20:1)
E - Embracing those in need
Walking alogside individuals and communities experiencing hardship (James 2:16)
L - Loving unconditionally
Serving others with compassion, dignity, and grace (John 13:34)
I - Introducing compassion
Responding with care that reflects Christ's love (2 Corinthians 1:3-7)
E - Emphasizing hope
Sharing encouragement and restoration during difficult seasons (Romans 15:13)
F - Fostering restoration
Supporting healing and renewal of both body and spirit (1 Peter 5:10)
