Charge Conferences are more than an administrative requirement; they are a vital opportunity for churches to connect with the wider United Methodist Church, reflect on ministry impact, affirm faithful leadership, celebrate God's work, and prayerfully prepare for the year ahead.

Preparing for a Charge Conference
Preparing for a Charge Conference begins well before the meeting itself. Completing required forms, reviewing ministry impact, and gathering the necessary information helps ensure a meaningful and productive conversation. Pastors are responsible fro ensuring all reports are completed accurately and submitted on time.

All online fillable forms must be submitted to the District Office two week prior to your scheduled Church Conference. Start early, use the provided checklist to track deadlines, and reach out to the District Office with any questions.

The Abba Java Coffeehouse, a mission of campus ministry, serves an aggregate average of 1,000 students a week, providing free Equal Exchange Fair Trade coffee and tea as well as snacks. The Wesley Foundation also provides students a space for internship opportunities, for leadership and mission, faith exploration and worship. The Wesley Foundation at Penn State depends on Conference and Congregational support. Thank you in advance for helping us nurture and care for the students at Penn State. #7315 - The Mommy Shoppe

The shoppe began in 2011, as a vision to help pregnant mothers who needed a hand with essentials for their baby, up to kindergarten age, and to offer items free of charge. Soon after, realizing that expectant mothers also often had older children, the age/size limit was quickly increased to size 18.

The Shoppe is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for free bag appointments, buyers and volunteers. There are also hours on the third Saturday each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registered families can make appointments a minimum of 30 days apart to choose free clothing. Appointments are easily made at the website at themommyshoppe.org. There are no income or geographic requirements to sign up.

Currently, registered families include approximately 900 single mothers, fathers, grandparents raising grandchildren, foster parents, two parent families who struggle with unemployment or under-employment, and an increasingly diverse cultural clientele. In addition, many shoppers buy items to support our mission.

The Sierra Leone Advanced initiative is in need of your support! Our current area of need is in pastoral salary support which allows our fellow pastors the opportunity to dedicate their time to full time ministry. We are also in need of funds to help support several building projects that are in process but need support to finish the project.
