Committe on Christian Unity & Interreligious Relationships

Building bridges of faith in a fractured world.

Our Calling

Jesus prayed “that they may all be one” (John 17:21). The Committee on Christian Unity and Interreligious Relationships seeks to live into that prayer by fostering relationships of understanding, respect, and collaboration among Christians and people of other faith traditions.

We believe unity is not uniformity, but a reflection of God's reconciling love expressed through the beautiful diversity of Christ's body and the wider human family.

Through dialogue, shared mission, and mutual respect, we participate in God's work of reconciliation and peace.

Our Mission

The Committee cultivates relationships of shalom through ecumenical and interreligious engagement by:

  • Building relationships across Christian traditions and faith communities
  • Encouraging respectful dialogue and mutual understanding
  • Supporting shared efforts for justice, compassion, and peace
  • Helping congregations engage faithfully with neighbors of other traditions
