Who We Are
United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) equips people of all ages and abilities to live out their faith through short-term mission service. Since the 1970s, UMVIM has connected volunteers with opportunities to serve alongside communities through ministries such as disaster response, community development, medical and dental outreach, agriculture, Vacation Bible School, and construction.
The Susquehanna Conference Volunteers in Mission ministry helps individuals and teams serve faithfully by providing training, resources, and connections to meaningful mission opportunities.
There is a place for everyone to serve.

How We Serve
Volunteers in Mission teams are encouraged to:
Serve with a UMVIM-approved Project
Connect with mission partners who understand the needs and priorities of their communities.
Prepare through Training
Equip team leaders and participants for faithful, effective service.
Serve Safely
Follow Safe Sanctuaries guidelines and maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
Build Relationships
Approach mission as partnership, not simply a service project.
