About the Commission

The Commission on Sacred Worth is the Susquehanna Conference’s new initiative to actively support LGBTQ+ laity, clergy, and candidates for ministry. Our goal is to foster a culture of inclusion, equity, and affirmation where LGBTQ+ people are empowered to live into their calling and fully participate in church life.

We create spaces for fellowship, mentorship, and spiritual growth for LGBTQ+ members of the church

We equip LGBTQ+ individuals and allies with training and guidance to serve in leadership roles at every level of church life

Advocacy & Justice
We monitor policies, appointments, and practices to ensure fairness and inclusion, providing recommendations and reports to conference leadership

Education & Resources
We develop and curate workshops, curricula, and discussion guides to support congregations in their ministry with LGBTQ+ people
