Statement Regarding Bishop Mark Webb

It was announced earlier today that Bishop Mark Webb has resigned from the episcopacy and withdrawn his membership from The United Methodist Church to join the newly formed Global Methodist Church. Bishop Webb submitted a request for retirement in August of 2022 and officially retired on December 31 after serving ten years as the residential bishop for the Upper New York Annual conference.
