If you have previously taken Boundaries and need to take a class to renew your training there are now two online options from the Lewis Center for Learning. The courses that will satisfy your Boundaries requirement are either “Maintaining Boundaries in a Digital Age” or “Understanding Clergy Sexual Ethics”. These courses cost $49 and are at your expense. There is no “group code” to use when you register.

In-person training courses for Required Boundaries are being scheduled for each district.

Also, please make sure your clearances are up-to-date.  FBI fingerprints, Child Abuse Clearance and PA State Police criminal background check are required by state law every 5 years.  Failure to be in compliance could result in suspension from appointment/assignment. Contact Rev. Marian Hartman, clergy assistant to BOOM – mhartman@susumc.org with any questions.
