Peace with Justice Sunday
What is Peace with Justice Sunday?
Peace with Justice Sunday is one of the six Special Sundays of The United Methodist Church. Each year, congregations are invited to receive a special offering that supports ministries working to address the root causes of injustice and build lasting peace.
These gifts empower local churches, annual conferences, and denominational ministries to engage in advocacy, education, and community-based initiatives that reflect God's vision of justice, reconciliation, and human flourishing.
How the Offering Makes a Difference
Gifts received on Peace with Justice Sunday support ministries at both the conference and denominational levels, helping to:
- Equip congregations to address issues of justice and peace.
- Support advocacy and community engagement initiatives.
- Provide grants for local peace and justice ministries.
- Strengthen ministries that work toward reconciliation and systemic change.
