Rev. John R. “Jack” Shafer, Retired Elder, died Monday, January 13, 2025. Among his survivors are his son, Rev. Eric J. Shafer. Visitation will be Monday, January 20, 2025 from 10 to 11:45 am at St John’s-Newberry United Methodist Church, 2101 Newberry St, Williamsport PA 17701-1361, followed by the funeral service at 12 noon.
