Coaching
Helping Leaders Thrive in Ministry
Our Coaching Network exists to support clergy, ministry leaders, and congregations as they discern, grow, and lead in alignment with God’s call. Coaching is a collaborative, faith-centered process designed to help you reflect, clarify goals, and take faithful next steps in your personal leadership, team dynamics, or congregational mission.
What Coaching Is
Coaching is a purposeful conversation that inspires you to create your best life as a pastor or ministry leader. Unlike mentoring or consulting, coaching doesn’t provide ready-made answers or a one-size-fits-all program. Instead, it helps you:
- Explore challenges and opportunities in ministry
- Discover your own insights and solutions
- Stay focused and accountable as you implement action steps
- Align your leadership with your calling, values, and the Spirit of God
What Coaching Is Not
- Counseling or therapy
- Mentoring
- Giving advice or imposing a program
Coaching gives you space to reflect, discern, and act, enabling real transformation from within.
Areas of Focus
- Pastoral Leadership - enhancing leadership skills, balancing spiritual and administrative responsibilities, and strengthening ministry impact
- Team Leadership - helping develop communication, teamwork, and conflict-resolution skills
- Transformational Leadership - cultivating visionary, innovative, and adaptive leadership for lasting impact
- Missional Coaching - identifying gifts, developing strategies, and guiding churches toward faithful engagement
How to Engage with the Coaching Network
- There are three ways for you to work with our coaches:
- Personal Coaching - for individual pastors or ministry leaders focusing on leadership goals or personal growth
- Team Coaching - for leadership teams or congregations addressing collaborative goals, strategic initiatives, or ministry development
- Coach Training - for those who want to learn coaching skills to serve their own ministry teams or the broader Conference.
Benefits of Coaching
Through coach, you can:
- Clarify mission and calling
- Identify core values and resources to activate your potential
- Develop adaptive leadership skills
- Close the gap between where you are and where God is calling you
- Align your leadership with the Conference vision to grow spiritual transformational leaders and equip vital congregations
