Circle of Friends Child Care Center in Shiremanstown, PA is hiring! We are looking to employ a qualified Infant Teacher, who has a passion for instilling values in young children. The Infant Teacher should possess high energy and the ability to handle the demands of babies and toddlers with different personalities and needs. Join our family of leading early childhood education teachers. Circle of Friends is a Christian-based child care center which serves children from 6 weeks to 5th grade. Our mission is to offer every child love, support, and guidance in a warm and friendly Christian environment. As a Christian program, we will provide opportunity for growth and development in the areas of mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. We will provide an environment that builds character and shapes values for children’s future successes.
To ensure success, the infant teacher should display a gentle and nurturing personality, and the patience to assist each infant or child to mature cognitively. They should be able to assist in developing the infants’ and children’s social skills as they interact with each other.
Infant Teacher Responsibilities:
- Guiding babies and toddlers through education/development programs.
- Thinking on their feet and responding to each child’s needs efficiently.
- Displaying a patient and calm personality coupled with a loving approach to every child.
- Contributing positively to the behavior and social interaction of the children.
- Building secure relationships with the children.
- Working closely with the director and teammates to ensure that guidelines are adhered to.
- Keeping a diary of the day’s events for parent perusal.
- Reporting accidents, illness, and unusual behavior of children to the director and parents.
- Ensuring close communication with parents throughout the day should the need arise.
Infant Teacher Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required).
- High school diploma or associate degree (required).
- CPR certified and trained (can be provided).
- Complete background check and health examination.
- Previous experience working with infants/children preferred.
- A passion for working with babies/children.
- Patient, nurturing and thoughtful.
- Good communication skills.
- Maintain discretion around children’s records.
Candidate is required to: Be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma and at least 2500 hours of experience working with children; or a CDA; or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field, be fluent in English with strong communication skills, be punctual, courteous, and professional.
Salary: Negotiable based on education and experience
