Susquehanna Conference UMC Seeking Center Director for Wesley Forest
The Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church has an exciting and meaningful opportunity for a Center Director at Wesley Forest Camp & Retreat Center located in Weikert, PA. Wesley Forest camp and retreat center encompasses 440 acres of pristine woodland, a small lake, and beautiful streams. This full-time, year-round position includes housing, insurance, and retirement contributions.
Wesley Forest is part of a collaborative Conference-wide Camp & Retreat Ministry, so working well in a team setting is key. As a facet of the United Methodist Church, we join in the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Through encounters with Christ, community, and creation, our goal is to inspire people to embrace the way of love as their way of life.
The Center Director is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of an expanding range of Camp & Retreat Ministry experiences, programs and services that serve current guests and participants, while creatively forging new relationships and opportunities with communities, groups, and persons not currently served. Some aspects of this role include leadership recruitment, training, supervision, facility management, program development, safety and policy implementation, hospitality services, etc.
