God is Doing A New Thing Through Staff Changes & Hirings – Seedling Financial Ministries

FEBRUARY 18, 2022

In partnership with the Seedling Board of Directors, we want to share with you a staff change that is occurring.

We, along with the Seedling Board of Directors, were sad to accept the resignation of Lauren Hokamp as the Executive Director of Seedling Financial Ministries. Lauren has been a real asset to Seedling and the former Loan Fund. Lauren began her work with the former Loan Fund in the fall of 2017. She has provided invaluable service to the Susquehanna Conference, the churches of our conference and those persons who have deposited money with Seedling.

Lauren will be leaving to take a position with the Fulton Bank. She will be in-house counsel for that institution.

We are extremely excited to inform you that Christine Sims, the current Associate Director, has been chosen to become the new Executive Director of Seedling Financial Ministries. Chris has been with Seedling since 2018. Previously, Chris had 14 years of banking experience as well as teaching Pre-K and being the director of a preschool.

When hired for the former Loan Fund, Chris’s job was as an investment specialist. She was then promoted to be the Associate Director of Seedling. Along with Lauren, Chris has worked tirelessly for Seedling. Along with the Board of Directors, we rejoice in Chris’s willingness to be the Executive Director. We know that she will continue to work diligently in this specialized ministry.

These changes will take place by February 23, 2022.

Please join us in giving thanks to God for God’s leading in the lives of Lauren and Chris. Indeed, God is doing a new thing in their lives and within the Susquehanna Annual Conference.
