On Sunday, September 20 (4 p.m.), the first of four services celebrating the appointment of our four new district superintendents was streamed from Bethany UMC, Red Lion, this service celebrated the appointment of the Rev. Catherine E. Boileau as the new York District Superintendent. This installation service will soon be available to view online.

There was an opportunity to give an offering to a ministry of the new District Superintendent's choosing. The York District offering was in support of our Susquehanna Camp & Retreat Ministry. If you would like, you can still make a donation today.

On Sunday, October 4 (4 p.m.), the second of four services celebrating the appointment of our four new district superintendents was streamed from Faith UMC, Montoursville; this service celebrated the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Paul C. Amara as the new Williamsport District Superintendent. This installation service will soon be available to view online.

 

There was an opportunity to give an offering to a ministry of the new District Superintendent's choosing. The Williamsport District offering was in support of Give Ye Them to Eat (GYTTE) (# 2375).
GYTTE was founded in 1977 as a social outreach project of the Methodist Church of Mexico to combat hunger and poverty in the rural sector. The purpose of the "Give Ye Them to Eat" program (GYTTE) is to strengthen the capabilities of marginalized people and communities to meet their basic needs, and to determine and sustain a just and integrated development process. On Sunday, October 18 (4 p.m.), the third of four services celebrating the appointment of our four new district superintendents was be offered online. Streamed from Watsontown United Methodist Church, this service celebrates the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Gary D. Weaver as the new Lewisburg District Superintendent. 

As is our tradition, there will be an opportunity to give an offering to a ministry of the new District Superintendent's choosing. The Lewisburg District offering will be in support of The Gate House of Danville (Advanced Special #8145).
The Gate House of Danville was founded in 1997 to provide safe shelter to homeless families. Their support and emergency services are a direct solution to families who are facing personal crises to include but are not limited to; abandonment, divorce, illness, accidents such as fire, flood, rent increases, or evictions. On Sunday, October 25 (4 p.m.), the final of four services celebrating the appointment of our four new district superintendents will be offered online. Streamed from First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg; this service celebrates the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Joleen Willis as the new Altoona District Superintendent. Due to Covid-19 protocols, only 25 persons will be allowed to be in attendance for the in-person service, but everyone is welcome to join the service online at susumc.org/live

As is our tradition, there will be an opportunity to give an offering to a ministry of the new District Superintendent's choosing. The Altoona District offering will be in support of #StilliInMission - Missionaries (Advance Special #00779Z).
