Equipping God's People Course
Do you have a leadership role, or wish to have a leadership role, in your home church? Do you want to learn how you can help your community and church? Are you called to serve? This training program is just what you are looking for.
This program is a comprehensive eight-session course of study designed to equip new leaders and renew current leaders. Some sessions require the participant to read a book prior to attending the session. The core purpose of Equipping God’s People is to strengthen the leadership of laity of the Susquehanna Conference in order to help congregations be more effective in making disciples and transforming the world.

3) Renovating Churches (Renovate or Die, by Bob Farr)
4) Streamlining Your Church (Simple Church, by Thom Rainer & Eric Geiger)
5) Personal Leadership
6) Focusing Outward (The Externally Focused Church, by Rich Rusaw & Eric Swanson)
7) Real Life Evangelism (Unbinding the Gospel by Martha Grace Reese)
8) Healthy Small Church (The Healthy Small Church, by Dennis Bickers)
Location: New Creation Community Church, 3005 Emig Mill Rd., Dover, PA 17315
Date/Time: Begins Saturday, April 7, 9 am - 12 noon (During this initial session dates and class time will be determined by the participants.)
Fee: $12 for all 8 modules (Scholarships are available – pastors should contact Kathy Heaps)

Participants who wish to be certified as a Certified Lay Servant must attend all of the 8 sessions. Participants who wish to recertify their Certified Lay Servant or Lay Speaker status should attend at least the first module (sessions 1-4) but are strongly encouraged to attend both of them. Participants who do not wish to participate in the Lay Servant program are welcome. In fact, anyone who has a leadership role in your local church is encouraged to participate.
This course also fulfills the training requirements for Basic and Certified Lay Servant Ministers.
