Equipping God's People Courses now being offered


Dates: March 2 and March 30, 2019 - The classes will run from 9 am to 3 pm
Location: Mt. Zion UMC - 4685 Mount Zion Dr., Enola, PA 17025.

Equipping God’s People Module I -  this class is required for all those beginning their path in Lay Servant Ministry and can also be used as a renewal class for those who need to fulfill the requirement of taking a class every 3 years.  It is also an excellent class for ANYONE who serves in ANY leadership role within the church. 
Required reading prior to the class includes: Direct Hit by Paul Borden; Renovate or Die by Bob Farr; Simple Church by Thom Rainier & Eric Geiger
 

Equipping God’s People Module II -  this class is the second part of the EGP training and is required by all those who have begun their path in Lay Servant Ministry.  It is also an excellent class for ANYONE who serves in ANY leadership role within the church. 
Required reading prior to the class includes: The Externally Focused Church by Rick Rusaw and Eric Swanson; The Healthy Small Church by Dennis Bickers; Unbinding the Gospel by Martha Grace Reese.
 

Note: Participants who wish to be certified as a Certified Lay Servant must attend all of the 8 sessions.  Participants who wish to recertify their Certified Lay Servant or Lay Speaker status should attend at least the first module (sessions 1-4) but are strongly encouraged to attend both of them.  Participants who do not wish to participate in the Lay Servant program are welcome.  In fact, anyone who has a leadership role in your local church is encouraged to participate.

Cost of each class: $35 each


Books should be ordered by the individual, read, and then brought to class.  Books are available through Upper Room Ministries, Cokesbury, Stephen Ministries, as well as Amazon.
