CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT VOTE

On May 16, 2016, at a session of the General Conference of The United Methodist Church held in Portland, Oregon, the following Constitutional Amendment was adopted by a recorded vote of 746 Yes, 56 No (Calendar Item 121, DCA p. 2106). The text of this amendment as distributed to the annual conferences in 2016 was found to be in error. The corrected text is now presented to the annual conferences for vote.

A vote on the corrected text of the Constitutional Amendment will take place during this year's session of the Susquehanna Annual Conference. Since the information was received after the publication of this year's Annual Conference workbook, a copy of the amendment's text is available online. Information regarding those eligible to vote on Constitutional Amendments is on the website as well. In addition, hard copies of the text will be made available at Annual Conference for all clergy and lay members.

Thank you for giving your attention to this important piece of business for the work of our Annual Conference in just a few weeks.

Rev. Larry L. Leland Jr.
Acting Conference Secretary
