CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL FORMATION, INC. SEEKING "PRAYER WARRIORS" FOR DURING AC SESSION

Greetings in the name of the Risen Christ,

As we prepare for this year's Annual Conference session at the Hershey Lodge; The Center for Spiritual Formation will once again have a room available for persons to be praying over our Bishop, the Cabinet, and the work of the Annual Conference. Because you have been part of the Center for Spiritual Formation in the past and maybe even now at this moment would you graciously consider being a prayer warrior for our Conference theme of "Better Together-One With Christ" by committing yourself to pray for one hour during our time at the Hershey Lodge. Last year the prayer room was located not far from the bottom of the escalator and near the gift shop. The time frames will begin at 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday. And then again on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. as the Ordination Service is in progress.

If you're interested in being part of this simple, profound, and quiet ministry of the Body of Christ, please do email me back with the time that suits your schedule while we gather. I will have the final listing posted outside of the door to the prayer room. Once you indicate your time to me, I will place your name on my list and then confirm your time slot back to you.

Thank you and may God's grace be upon you as we ready ourselves for the work of the Conference impacting the kingdom of God with the gifts we have been blessed with.

Rev. Alison W. Grove,
Currently serving the Center for Spiritual Formation Board of Directors and a graduate of the class of 2012 for the Ministry of Spiritual Direction

THINGS TO BRING TO ANNUAL CONFERENCE FOR WORSHIP

Bring a cross -
For over 2000 years, Christians have rallied round a common symbol that represents our Savior, Jesus Christ--and that symbol is the cross. They come in many shapes, varieties, and sizes, but all are representing the same Jesus. This year at Annual Conference we will have many moments to remember that we are One with Christ and are seeking to be in tune with Him. Please bring a small cross that has some significance or sentimental meaning to you when you come to AC this year. Perhaps a cross that is a piece of jewelry, or a pocket cross, or a small hand-held prayer cross, etc. Throughout our times of worship, we will take time to clutch the cross we have brought, to pray, and to remember that we are in fact, One with Christ, and seeking to be in tune with Him.  A limited number of crosses will be available at the Bishop's Partners in Mission display table for a donation to this fund.

Donate stoles -
We will once again be collecting stoles to remember pastors who have died in the last year and then to give to pastors in Sierra Leone.  Please bring unneeded stoles with you to Annual Conference and place in the bin outside clergy session on Thursday morning.

OR send stoles to
Rev. Janet Durrwachter,
First United Methodist Church
604 Market St.
Williamsport, PA 17701

YOUTH SERVICE FUND FUNDRAISING  AT ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The Young People's Ministry is committed to making a difference in the lives of teens in our Conference and around the world. One way in which we do this is through Youth Service Fund (YSF) grants. You can help us make a difference by supporting YSF at Annual Conference. During Conference, please visit the YSF booth to place a bid on a basket, or stop by the charging station to give your mobile device a boost, or drop some money into a jar to pie your "favorite" Conference Leader in the face.  Your donation will go to fund youth ministry projects locally, nationally, and internationally! Thank you for your continued support of this thriving ministry.
