MISSION CENTRAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The Mission Central Board of Directors has asked Board President, Bob Ryder, to assume the role of interim Executive Director at Mission Central. Bob has been part of the Mission Central board since 2011 and has served as Board President for the last three years. Bob is an ordained elder serving part-time at Centenary UMC on Orchard Drive in Harrisburg, PA. He has led Mission Central through two strategic planning cycles and has been closely involved with hiring staff for the past several years. While appointed outside of the Harrisburg District, Bob has led his churches in mission with local Mission Central hubs including both the Altoona Hub and The Shoemaker Hub in Northeastern PA.
Bob assumes this interim role to assure that Mission Central continues to fulfill its day-to-day mission and to lead the search for a new Executive Director.
Additionally, the Mission Central Board has elected Rick Herring interim Board Chair. Rick has been part of the Mission Central Board since 2014 and has led the finance sub-committee of the board, significantly ordering the finances and budgeting process for Mission Central. Rick recently retired as President at Giant Food Stores, known for their many philanthropic efforts throughout our area, and as a sponsor of Mission Central. Rick will lead the Board as they focus on hiring a new Executive Director. The Board is currently working on an open process for filling the position of Director. At this point the time-line is still being determined as are the job responsibilities.

POSITION OPEN IN CONFERENCE EPISCOPAL OFFICE
The Episcopal Office of the Susquehanna Conference is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Episcopal Office Administrative Assistant. This position is open because of the retirement of Kristin Sample.
This position is part-time, 20-25 hours/week. Benefits include paid vacation days, sick days, enrollment in the UM Pension Program (employer contribution after one year), does not include health care.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated piano or guitar skills, and the ability to lead congregational singing and worship at our 8:20 a.m. Sunday Worship hour.

Immanuel UMC is seeking a musical director to support and empower the church's music and worship ministries.
This position is part-time. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of piano and organ, the ability to direct and lead musical groups.
An ability to co-ordinate media and other visual arts that enhance worship is desired, but not required.
We are looking for someone with the ability to work well with others; serve as a member of a ministry team; and possesses a passion for Christ and his Kingdom that expresses itself in assisting with the planning and his/her participation in a Sunday worship experience that incorporates contemporary, traditional, and liturgical elements.
