IMPORTANT NOTICE PROPERTY & CASUALTY INSURANCE
This is a follow up to an earlier article regarding elevator inspections. National Elevator Inspection Services is the designated elevator inspection company for the churches in the Susquehanna Conference for the regular annual or semi-annual inspections. However, there are ten (10) churches within the conference where NEIS does not have inspectors available, and I will reach out to each of those churches with alternate instructions. Remember that the cost of the regular Labor & Industry required inspections is included in the Property & Casualty Insurance Program. The cost for elevator certificates and required 3- and 5-year testing is not. For 3- and/or 5-year testing, you may select any qualified elevator company you like and have the testing witnessed by NEIS.
In addition, I have been advised that the former inspection company, PM Associates, has gone out of business and may have sold their inspection list to another inspection company who may contact you to perform your inspection. Please remember that unless I notify you otherwise, NEIS is the only company you should use for the regular elevator inspections.
Please contact me with any questions.
