Administrative Assistant - Growing Effective Churches
YOUTH LEADER POSITION OPEN AT MT. NITTANY UMC, STATE COLLEGE
Description: Spiritually lead youth (grades 6 through 12) to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ with a theology consistent with the United Methodist Church. Interact with families to encourage participation. Develop programs and activities to foster learning so that youth may know and follow Jesus Christ. Lead fundraising, mission opportunities, and overnight activities as organized. Network and arrange activities with other UMC youth groups. Be present at worship services and have an active/leadership role in Sunday school. Work 10-15 hours weekly.
Job Skills and Requirements: Excellent communication, spiritual, and leadership skills. Have the ability to interact with a variety of personalities and ages of youth, as well as the church pastor. Be of good moral and Christian character. Must submit Safe Sanctuaries and Track One Clearance certificates.
