NOTICE ABOUT THE "CIRCLE OF PRAYER"
 
The current "Circle of Prayer" listing ended the week of July 2-8. Due to the information in our database being updated in July, a new listing will not be available until mid-August. Until then, please continue to pray for all of our churches.
 



MULTI-CULTURAL/URBAN, PARISH DEVELOPMENT, AND SOCIAL MINISTRIES GRANTS

The revised 2018 grant application has been posted on the Missional Board Web site. If you aspire to start a new ministry and need funding to begin or desire to continue a previously funded ministry, please submit your completed application no later than September 15, 2017. Please be aware that all ministries granted awards in 2017 are not automatically renewed and must be applied for each year for the remaining allowable years.

MEETING FOR THOSE WHO DESIRE TO APPLY FOR COMMISSIONING OR ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP OF SUSQUEHANNA UM CONFERENCE

There are two meetings scheduled for those who desire to apply for commissioning as an elder, deacon, or associate member. Please choose the meeting that is most convenient for you. Meetings will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude about 12 p.m. For those who desire, we will be going out to lunch afterward.

TWO PART-TIME POSITIONS OPEN AT ZION UMC, YORK

Part-time Associate in Music Ministries

Zion Church, 1030 Carlisle Road, York, Pa., is seeking a person with a degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) in music, music education, music performance, and/or sacred music to plan and lead our 9:30 blended  worship service. The associate will also provide musical leadership when needed for our other two services and special/occasional services and events.

Part-Time Caretaker

Zion Church, 1030 Carlisle Road, York, Pa., is looking for a person to care for the overall maintenance and operation of our main facility. The  caretaker works with the trustees to oversee maintenance and repair projects. Along with the housekeeper and assistant caretaker, the  caretaker also cares for the cleaning of the interior of the facility as well as the care of the exterior. The caretaker also works with the many outside groups that use the facility.

DIETARY SUPERVISOR POSITION OPEN AT THE UNITED METHODIST HOME FOR CHILDREN
 
The United Methodist Home for Children Inc. in Mechanicsburg, PA., is pleased to offer an opportunity to be a part of our Outreach Ministry to Kids:

  •     UMHC is in search of an individual to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Dietary Department. Supervisory, computer, and strong administrative/communication skills are necessary. Must have previous experience with supervising, planning, and implementing a food service program and maintaining a department budget.
  •     Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, pass background clearances, undertake a physical exam, and possess a valid PA driver's license.
  •     Culinary arts degree preferred. Experience/higher education preferred.
  •     Competitive salary and benefits.
