NORTHEASTERN JURISDICTION RETREAT FOR STUDENT LEADERS

The Northeastern Jurisdiction Council on Youth Ministry will gather July 14-16, 2017, at Dorranceton UMC, 549 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704-3719. The main purpose of this gathering will be to select delegates to the 2018 Global Convocation in South Africa.

Activities will begin Friday night, July 14, at 7 p.m. and conclude with a shared worship Sunday morning with the congregation at Dorranceton UMC.

Cost will be $75 per student (includes food, lodging, registration, and swimming fee).

Interested students must contact Audrey Wilder by Tuesday, June 13, to register.

HANDBELLS LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME

Trinity UMC, 210 West Main Street, Hummelstown, has five octaves of Schulmerich handbells looking for a good home. If your church is looking to pilot a handbell choir, these might be for you. Although they can no longer be refurbished, they have been well cared for and still have some serviceable years in them.

PART-TIME YOUTH MINISTRY COORDINATOR POSITION OPEN AT MESSIAH UMC, YORK

Messiah UMC has an immediate opening for a salaried, part-time youth ministry coordinator.

If the Holy Spirit is challenging you to the mission of youth in a local church, please consider joining Messiah UMC as our youth ministry coordinator. This position will oversee all programs and ministry for 7th grade through 12th grade. They will work in cooperation with other church staff, volunteers, and committees of Messiah Church. They will, in the context of Christian growth and development, continue current ministries and/or develop new ministries. They will be expected to recruit, train, and encourage a volunteer base.
