DISCOVERY PLACE TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL MID-APRIL

Major renovations in the Conference Center have necessitated the temporary closing of Discovery Place.

When we re-open in mid-April, our new hours will be 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

SPRING WORK DAY AT GREENE HILLS CAMP

Greene Hills Camp in Alexandria, Pa., will be holding a spring work day Saturday, May 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Individuals or church groups of all skill levels are invited to come and help with a variety of work projects including renovating/repairing an exterior door and cabin porch, interior and exterior painting, firewood cutting and splitting, and trail maintenance.

Lunch will be provided, and overnight accommodations are available by request.

Individuals or groups who are planning to come should RSVP by Friday, May 5, to be included in the meal count.

HEROIN / OPIOID LOCAL EPIDEMIC COMMUNITY AWARENESS SEMINARS

families apart. We need the attention and the help of many people
in order to solve this health crisis."

The news of local drug overdoses are reported daily. Join us as we explore the local impact this epidemic is having on our neighborhoods, schools, friends, and our families. Aldersgate Church is offering four independent community awareness seminars to explore how we can respond to this local tragedy. Professionals including Mr. Jack Carroll, Executive Director of the Cumberland -Perry County Drug & Alcohol Commission, and Dr. Carrie DeLone, Medical Director of the Holy Spirit Medical Group, will share their insights on the local epidemic. The community is invited to one or all four of these seminars.

DIRECTOR OF YOUTH / CHILDREN'S MINISTRY POSITION OPEN AT JUNIATA UMC, ALTOONA

Juniata UMC, 806 N. 4th St., Altoona, PA, 16601-5710, is seeking a director of youth/children's ministry. This is a part-time position of 20-25 hours a week. Safe Sanctuaries clearances must be in effect.
