BEGINNING EXPERIENCE WEEKEND

The Harrisburg Beginning Experience Team announces that they have booked Camp Hebron, Halifax, Pa, for a Beginning Experience Weekend, May 5-7, 2017.

The ecumenical Beginning Experience weekends are an approved program for Catholics and Protestants designed for those suffering the loss of a spouse through death, divorce, or separation. Hundreds of persons have been helped to move toward successful, productive, happy, lives by attending one of these weekends.

The weekend is led by persons who have lost a spouse through death or divorce, and are trained in facilitating a weekend. Each Beginning Experience Team is certified by the International Beginning Experience Organization.

The following is a testimonial of a person who attended the Beginning Experience Weekend:

"I can tell you that my encounter with the Beginning Experience weekend has brought me greater peace and given me an extended family of life-long friends, who I quickly grew to love and lean on. If you or someone you know is suffering the isolation and pain that can accompany the loss of a spouse or marriage, I encourage you to seriously consider attending the Beginning Experience weekend."

Beginning Experience is your church at work to provide help, healing, and spiritual restoration. Visit their website at
www.beginningexperience.org.

Information can also be obtained by contacting the Harrisburg Beginning Experience Team at 717-379-0800.

COME AND ENJOY AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE IN PUEBLA AND TLANCUALPICAN

If you have eaten at Taco Bell, you haven't eaten authentic Mexican food. Want to try the real thing? Besides enjoying the food, come and meet the people and participate in hands on-ministry.

You are invited to become "AWARE" (Alternative Work/study Awareness Program) in Mexico, October 6-15, 2017. This trip is open to anyone age 18 or older who has a desire to work and learn in another culture. Working with staff of the Give Ye Them To Eat program (www.gytte.org), we will work alongside Mexicans on construction projects and repairs and upgrades in and around the Tree of Life Training Center in Tlancualpican. We will visit villages, participate in health programs, learn about agricultural and livestock development, participate in worship at local Methodist churches, as well as have some time to shop and do some touring.

Cost for the trip is $2,000.

Scholarship assistance of up to $300 is available through team leader Rev. Marian Hartman.

Costs include all transportation, meals, lodging, and admission to tourist attractions.
