YOUTH SERVICE FUND - SILENT AUCTION BASKET DONATIONS NEEDED
ONE THING STAYING THE SAME! It seems like everything is changing for Annual Conference 2017, but the Young People's Ministry wants to keep at least one thing the same - the YSF Silent Basket Auction. Last year the silent basket action contributed $1,037 toward the $7,381.19 raised for YSF. Help the Young People's Ministry meet their goal of $1,5000 for YSF by donating a gift basket for the silent auction.
SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR SEMINARY STUDENTS
Excellence in Clergy Leadership Award
The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry has announced a new scholarship available to students at any of the 13 UM seminaries and theological schools. There are matching funds from GBHEM, The Lilly Endowment, each school and the Student Aid Fund of the Susquehanna Conference. This means that each dollar of the award is multiplied by a factor of 4 to 1!
There is a guarantee that a minimum of two students from each conference will receive the award, and no less than ten awards will be made at each school, with the possibility of more as funds allow.
The Student Aid Fund is committed to matching the maximum number of awards to our students, which will allow us to stretch our resources and prevent future student debt.
